When piloting this initiative, we discovered that health and social care professionals had spare time through their salaried roles or corporate volunteering schemes, whilst others simply wanted to continually challenge themselves and learn from others.
To date, exchanges have included mentoring and coaching, delivering presentations, patient safety advice, data analysis and evaluation, workshop facilitation, sharing resources, peer review, supporting pathway development and user perspectives.
Our aim is to foster the right support and conditions for our members to use their available time for health and social care improvement. This may include the 3 days’ paid volunteering leave, which all 'Agenda for Change' employees are entitled to (watch this space!).
